I love the recent rash of retro-style figures based on classic properties. Fresh Monkey Fiction has another surprise new retro line on the way, featuring Captain Action and a few other really classic superheroes.
You can get all the details on Series 1 of the Amazing Heroes line below. It includes classic superheroes that date way back to the golden age of comics and pulp, making it a unique line with a very unique selection of characters. Amazing Heroes are ready for Action...Captain Action!
Fresh Monkey Fiction announces Amazing Heroes and adds Captain Action to its line up of retro inspired action figures.

Fresh Monkey Fiction is proud to announce Amazing Heroes, its first series of 4.5" retro style action figures. Series 1 will include Classic Heroes:
- Captain Action – “The Original Super Hero Action Figure”
- Black Terror – “Golden Age Crime Fighter”
- Golden Age Dare-Devil – “Avenging Hero”
- Stardust – “The Super Wizard”
There's nothing better than obscure figures who rarely receive any love in plastic getting their time in the spotlight. The Black Terror and the original "Daredevil" have two of my favorite designs in superhero history, making these figures definite eye-catchers to me. The incredibly simple 5 points of articulation and basic sculpts might not grab the attention of "hip" young collectors, but those with an eye for the classic era of figures will instantly fall in love.
The best news of all is that this line is already planning a few more surprise reveals leading up to their debut on Kickstarter in the coming months. This is definitely a line I'll be supporting and enjoying in the near future!
